I was looking at where I started with all my debt and how far I have come. I wish that when I had decided to work on my debt I had taken a closer look at debt consolidation services.
While these may not work for everyone they certainly do give you some options that may not [...]

Since I'm trying to save as much money as possible, I'm trying to be creative with my gift giving. For my younger sister's birthday, I gave her a subscription to Lucky magazine purchased with Coke Rewards points. I ordered the subscription today, so she will receive an issue by (or near) her birthday. Since I will be 1500 miles away, I won't be able to celebrate her birthday with her. Since it's her 21st birthday, I don't think she would want a cake anyway. I also sent her a free e-card...

For a recap, my new years resolutions were
Increase my net worth to $30,000. I'm currently at $29,441. However, my net worth will go down in August and September because of the move and lack of pay checks!Lose weight. I wanted to be...

You may think your greatest wealth building asset is the Chevron (CVX) stock you purchased 3 years ago. Even though your brilliant purchase has appreciated over 50% in the last 3 years in the face of a bear market, it is not your greatest wealth building asset.
Traditionalist would say your home is your greatest wealth building asset. This is getting closer, but it is not your greatest wealth building asset.
Others would say your income is your greatest wealth building asset. Thought there...

I transferred $100 to my travel account, which brings the total to $200.64. Unfortunately, this is not enough to buy my ticket home for Christmas. I will try to save some extra cash after I make it through August and September.
I also transferred $100 to my car maintenance fund. This brings the total to $467.84. Most of this account will be devoured by necessary brake work, which will cost about $300. I'm planning on having this work done next...

I'm back from a fabulous weekend that I spent with my boyfriend! I drove down to visit him, so I wasn't at home. It was nice to get away from my current town. We ate all of our meals in, but we did make a quick trip to the mall. I picked up 3 shirts at Express for $19.90 (including tax). I purchased two shirts for $24.50 and a second clearance shirt for $4.17. I also had a $10 off coupon to bring the total below $20.
I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with packing and moving. Since I'm...
